Declaration of accessibility
Stadt Schwetzingen strives to make its website accessible in accordance with the State Equal Opportunities for Persons with Disabilities Act (L-BGG) and the Regulation for the Enforcement of the Act (L-BGG-DVO). This accessibility statement applies to the domain: https://www.visit-schwetzingen.de/.
Status of compatibility with the requirements
This website is partially compliant with L-BGG and L-BGG-DVO due to the following incompatibilities or exceptions.
Non-accessible content
The following content is not accessible because it is not compatible with the underlying harmonized standard EN 301 549:
- On almost all pages there are images without captions. It is difficult to navigate to the images with screen readers.
- There are links without link text on all pages.
- On all pages, the contrast between text and background is too low.
- A page has no language stored in HTML.
- On almost all pages there are buttons without labelling. It is difficult to navigate to the buttons with screen readers.
- On several pages there are headings that have no caption or contain the aria-hidden attribute and are therefore not accessible to screen readers.
- There are invalid aria attribute values on single pages. These are not recognized by screen readers and are therefore not output correctly.
- On several pages, a parent element lacks the appropriate child elements. This can confuse screen reader users because content is expected but none is there.
- On almost all pages there are elements with the Aria-hidden attribute that can be focused at the same time. This makes these elements accessible to assistive technologies, even though they should be hidden.
- There are interactive elements on single pages whose names are not part of the caption. This makes it difficult to control the website using voice control.
- On several pages, description lists are structured incorrectly. As a result, description explanations and description headings are not displayed correctly and are not output correctly by assistive technologies.
- On all pages there are elements whose Aria ID occurs several times. This makes it difficult to navigate the website with screen readers.
- There are lists on a page that contain elements that do not belong in lists. As a result, the lists may not be output correctly by assistive technologies.
