Art in change

The Schwetzingen Palace Garden is home to a wealth of sculptures. Gods and demigods of the ancient mythological world meet with allegories of the natural elements and seasons. Rounded off by motif vases and urns, lions, avian creatures and sphinxes, which in turn provide clues to the disposition of Elector Carl Theodor.
