Description
A perfect day in Schwetzingen starts on the sun-drenched Schlossplatz! That's why we start from here on a pleasant round of getting to know each other, during which we walk step by step through Schwetzingen's unique mixture of historical flair and modern, lively and friendly feel-good town.
After the city centre, the route takes us over the Carl-Theodor bridge into the eastern part of the city, where we pass the water tower visible from afar and the school quarter with the architecturally interesting refectory of the Hebelgymnasium, before we set our course beyond Bruchhäuser Straße between magnificent villas.
The 6 km long course along the Odenwaldring and the Südtangente also offers a lot of new attractions for lovers of urban atmosphere before it approaches the city centre again via Marstallstraße after passing the cultural institutions Karl-Wörn-Haus, Theater am Puls and Luxor Filmtheater.
And if you do have a little leisure time left: Around Schlossplatz, especially in the warm months of the year, there are plenty of opportunities to refresh yourself after the run, relax and enjoy the pleasant atmosphere of the traffic-calmed city centre.
